I’ve been so occupied with various projects that my posting has dwindled to almost nothing. I have, however, been making some cards that I will post sometime today.
I had a visit from my next door neighbours from when I lived in Toronto a couple of weeks ago. A bit into our visit, I was almost wishing we were still back in TO instead of here in paradise. I really do believe the “grass is greener” quote more than ever now. I live in a beautiful house, in a fabulous community with wonderful neighbours and I sometimes wish for the simpler times in TO, a city I’m not that fond of. For that reason alone, I can’t understand my thinking!!!! LOL
Sooooo….
After the visit, I decided to make a gift for my TO friend who loves my cards. I made up 10 generic note cards and also a little box to store them in. I used lots of bling as Bev really likes shiny stuff. I then stuck them in a bigger box with lots of packing material and sent them off to TO. I got a phone call from an elated Bev on Monday. She was so pleased with her little gift which made my week! I’m one of those who really does think it’s better to give than to receive. It really brightens my world when I can find or make the absolute perfect gift for someone….. Don’t get me wrong though, I do love getting stuff too!!!!!
I’ve also been catching up on my reading. The weather has been really great in the last couple of weeks (a little rain but mostly hot and sunny) so I’ve gotten into the habit of computing first thing in the morning, doing some housework and then spending most of the day sitting out in my gazebo reading. I’ve gone through the unread Fern Michaels books I had waiting as well as all but one of Nicholas Sparks’ novels… I’m on the last one now. I collect biographies, Danielle Steel (I have all of her books), Fern Michaels ( has anyone read the Sisterhood series?), and a few others. Would love to hear from those of you who have similar reading tastes.
