I never have problems discussing most things except when talking about myself! Where do I start?
Being from the Baby-Boomer era, I’m now retired and looking for things to do. I’ve always loved doing anything crafty and, as far back as I can remember, I’ve always had some project on the go. When I was small, I loved sewing doll clothes for my dolls… then I learned to knit and crochet and was able to make some awesome scarves at Christmas and birthdays (not). They got better as I got older!!!!
I advanced to quilting, ceramics, sewing clothes and counted cross stitch in later years. I think even a London, Ontario hospital has one of my cross stitched masterpieces in their nurses lounge after a lengthy stay. Having broken my back at work in the 80′s gave me lots of time to work on my projects while I was in rehab.
These days, I’ve taken up another hobby… scrapbooking! I’ve just started with cards so far but really started this to organize the many photos I took during my interesting career as a photo-journalist. I’ve also taken a couple of cool trips since I retired two years ago and need to get those photos into albums as well.
My hope for this website is to invite other scrapbookers to post their ideas, creations and anything else they’d like to share. I always say more heads are definitely better than one!!!!
